Woods Hole residents are once again pushing the Steamship Authority to reconsider its summer schedule, opposing the early morning freight trips to Martha’s Vineyard. Despite complaints since 2018 and a previous petition with 112 signatures, the 2024 schedule included the controversial 5:30 AM freight service. Renewed objections for the 2025 schedule, supported by 82 residents, prompted a requirement for a public hearing.
